'Smokes A Retta.'"Retta" is a 7 year old, homozygous "Gunsmoke" mare, she is a gentle and loving nature so true of the "Gunsmoke" blood line, she did well showing in hand as a 3 year old and is has now come under saddle to compete in 2009. Her second foal born in April 2008 was "Jena" who although born bay and white has shedded out black and white, look on the "Fillies" page for more information about her. 'Double Chex Cherokee'This is "Willow", she is 6 years old and homozygous. She has the gentlest, kindest and most laid back nature of any horse I have ever known. She is just "mother earth" and produced her first foal in early April 2008, which was the only colt of my new babies this year, I called him Beau. See the "Colt" page for more information about him. 'Strait Haidas Trophy'This is "Liberty", she is 4 years old and a solid bred paint mare. Her dam, Strait Trophy Girl was black and white and not homozygous so when put to the sire, Haidas San Badger, there was a high chance the resulting foal would be a solid - hence Liberty. She is just so like her sire it is unreal. Although from reining stock she is proving to be a very apt and willing pupil when asked to tackle absolutely anything. Only just recently she had her first outing under English tack taking part in her first dressage competition and undertook a prelim and a novice gaining respectable marks and terrific comments. She is just the lightest of mares to ride and just a joy to have around. Liberty like Retta was put to Christine Herridge's stallion, Bar Mount Boogie (Buddy) and she had Legacy.
